FCIC Board Extends Biotechnology Coverage Areas, Qualifying Hybrids
USDA’s Federal Crop Insurance Corporation Board of Directors, at
its Aug 14, 2008 meeting, approved additional seed technologies and states for a premium
rate reduction for producers who plant certain qualifying corn hybrids.

New Cherry Pilot Program Available in Seven States
Actual Revenue History (ARH) Cherry Pilot Crop Insurance, approved for the 2009 reinsurance year,
will make insurance available to cherry growers in 35 counties
in California, Idaho, Michigan, Montana, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
